Monday Updates

Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone was able to enjoy the beautiful day yesterday! I'm actually not minding the rain today, as my flowers could definitely use the moisture. Anyway, below are the updates for the start of this week. There isn't anything really that has been added to the private side of the website since last week, so I am not including the direct link to that, but you can always access it by visiting the MCBR site.

Remember, the password is available upon request.
Have a splendid week!!

Emergency Food Boxes for Children in Need

In response to the significant increase in demand due to COVID-19, the Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation (WRF) is helping Feeding Wisconsin and its network of statewide food banks raise money for emergency food boxes to be distributed to those in need.
Wisconsin food banks and pantries are experiencing unprecedented increased demand; two to four times the need for their services. With food-insecure children out of school for the remainder of the school year, more pressure is placed on families to budget and provide breakfast and lunch for their children every day. A recent survey from Hunger Free America found over the last month, 37% of parents nationwide cut the size of meals or skipped meals for their children because there is not enough money for food.
The WRF is dedicated to helping children who struggle with hunger, and we are asking for your financial donation to help Wisconsin’s children in need by donating to help raise money for these emergency food boxes.
Each 10-pound box contains:
• Protein items (e.g. peanut butter, canned meat/tuna, beans)
• Canned fruits and vegetables
• Carbohydrate items (e.g. pasta, rice, instant mashed potatoes, mac & cheese)
• Ready-to-eat meals (e.g. canned soup, canned pasta)
• Additional items may include cereal, pancake/muffin mix, pasta sauce and snacks
Today, you can make a REAL difference by helping those in need during COVID-19.

Member Connect #2

I've been thinking about hosting another Member Connect via GoToMeeting at the start of May so that all of our members, Realtors and Affiliates, could connect again and talk about how things are going with their respective businesses during the extension of the Stay at Home order.

Again, these meetings are so that everyone can talk and be on the same page so that transactions are able to flow well for your customers. If you are interested in participating, please shoot me an email!

What's Up In The Office

Last week with the high wind, I couldn't get my internet to work, so I spent a lot of time studying for the RCE. You guys may not believe me when I say I am really enjoying this first class, but it is true! I am learning so much, and other things are being reinforced. I have already brought several suggestions to MCBR committees, and can't wait to learn more.

At the end of the week, Caryn and I did a lot of budget work. The 2020-2021 MCBR budget is almost done. As you read above, we will be having a budget meeting to go over it next week. Caryn and I sat in on a NAR AEI seminar about budgeting during the pandemic, which was interesting and helpful.

I've also been working on connecting with several committees to figure out times & specifics for meetings.

Today has been a day all about registering for different webinars and virtual meetings for me. The NAR Legislative and Convention (virtual) sessions have started, and over the next few weeks I will be logging on to watch a number of those meetings. I also signed up for another NAR AEI seminar this Friday called "MLS Support and Guidance Amidst COVID-19". I also signed up for one from Realtor.com called "Assisting Your Members With Virtual Resources".
