Weekly Update – Volume 57 – January 25, 2021

Weekly Updates

Holy macaroni how is it the last week of January already?! Time is just flying by! I hope this new year is going well for everyone!
Thank you to all those who attended the membership meeting on Thursday night, either virtually or in person! It was so exciting to hear Mayor Nickels talk about the great things going on in Manitowoc. I did record his speech and it is published under the media section of the website. Please note that this is now a password protected page.

Professional Standards Training

Professional Standards Training is TOMORROW!
It's not too late for you to sign up!
We need as many people as we can get to be trained on Professional Standards to ensure we have enough if a grievance or ethics committee needs to be formed!

Email me if you'd like to sign up. Training is virtual and runs from 9:30a-3:30p.

Good Neighbor Volunteer Incentive Program!

Let's show Manitowoc County how awesome the MCBR members are, and how much we care about this community!!
Did anyone have a chance to check out the Realtors are Good Neighbors Volunteer Incentive program last week after I shared the info? If you did, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! I hope to get good participation in the program. After a few months, I'll do a survey on it and see if there are areas to improve and get some general feedback. I also look forward to volunteering in the community! (That's right, I'm not going to ask you guys to do something and then not also do it myself! However, my name will not be in the gift card drawing!)

February Membership Meeting

Save the Date!
The February Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb 18th at Manitowoc's newest downtown bar/restaurant, Brix! (Located in the old Studio 8 building.)

It will be a dinner meeting, and the cost will be $20 per person. The exact time and the speaker will be announced closer to the event.

Feel free to RSVP already if you'd like! I don't mind early birds! 😉

Fairhaven Winner!

Congrats to Karin Jaeger, who completed the Fairhaven Fair Housing program before January 15th! Karin was drawn as the winner of the $25 Machut's gift card!

Thank you to all those who participated in the drawing and completed the simulation! Everyone I asked about it said they found it to be more informative and helpful than they were expecting. The simulation is still live on the NAR website, so take advantage of it!!

We Need YOU!

Are you skilled with WordPress and enjoy doing tech type work? Or how about helping to create community involvement activities for our members? If you said yes to either of those, please consider joining our Website or Community Revitalization committees! You can contact the Website chair, Henry Grant at wiscan2@outlook.com or the Community Revitalization chair, Jason Koenig at jkoenig@starckre.com if you'd like to join!

Tomorrow we have the Professional Standards training, which I will be participating in as well (please sign up!), Wednesday I'll be spending some time with the Sheboygan County AE as we complete the final step in becoming certified Professional Standards Administrators, Thursday we have the meeting with MetroMLS about our contract, I have a WI Association Executive Council meeting for 2 hours, and then the WRA Board meeting in the late afternoon. Friday the WRA Board meeting continues in the morning for several more hours. Whew! Please know that despite being so busy, I will do my best to answer your emails and phone calls in a timely manner!
