Hello, and Happy August!! I'm not sure how we have survived 2020 this long, but I'm glad we did!
Read on for this week's updates!
A Note From The President
In accordance with our Governors mandate we as the Manitowoc County Board of Realtors Association will be expected to wear masks at any and all functions. (Meetings, gatherings where we are representing the association).

September Membership Meeting
As a reminder, the September Membership Meeting will be held, in person (but also streamed on GoToMeeting) at Machut's on September 17th, 2020. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to me and let me know which way you plan to attend.
Use Delayed Form
If you have a property in which the seller won't be allowing showings right away, please remember to use the Delayed Status form. To learn more about Delayed Status and the form, please see page 8 in the MLS Policy & Procedure Manual, or talk to your Broker.
Members in Motion
The Coldwell Banker-Brillion Office has chosen to end their secondary membership with MCBR.
CE 5 & 6
There is an update to CE 5 & 6 hosted by the Board. I misunderstood in my initial conversations with the WRA and thought that we could live stream the classes for those who couldn't attend in person, but that is not the case. There is only the in person option for that day. The Board is exploring other options for those who do not want to attend in person, and we will keep you informed. If you plan to attend CE 5 & 6 in person in October, please RSVP to me by clicking the link to the right.
Hours This Week:
*As a reminder, I am still working from home this week due to my COVID exposure in the office.
On Thursday of this week I will be leaving for the WRA Board of Directors meeting in Lake Geneva. I will not be answering calls after 2pm on Thursday, or all day Friday. I will be back Friday evening. Emails may not get returned until Monday.
(The Grand Geneva is following Covid guidelines, and I will be wearing a mask, so I feel comfortable attending this meeting.)
What's Up In The Office
Last week I spent 12 hours participating in the virtual NAR New AE Orientation. I learned so much about what NAR has to offer, as well as things I could do to help improve our Association. These things include new tools that NAR is creating, as well as things that have been in place for a while that I think we could definitely leverage.
On Friday I participated in the NAR AEI Virtual Webinar on Leveraging Social Media, and many, many ideas came out of that!
Over the next few months I plan to create SMART goals for myself for 2021. These are things that I personally want to work on to help improve in the Association, and will be separate from any goals that the Board may set. My plan is to announce these goals in December, and at the end of every quarter in 2021, I will report on my progress both to the Board, and the Membership. I may also ask for membership help or create Task Forces to work on some of the areas with me. Being a staff of one isn't always easy! It's nice to get others insights, knowledge, and perspective on topics. I'm excited, and looking forward to presenting these goals to everyone in December!
As I shared in my intro article back when I started, for 8 years I owned a full time pet care business. While I've mostly retired, I still help out friends and family occasionally. Meet Paul! He's staying with us a few days. He is such the character, and snores like a chainsaw! I just think his face is adorable, and thought I would share it with all of you! 🙂
