Weekly Update

Happy Wednesday everyone! As always, I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! We were outside almost all day Saturday (working on the permanent pig sty) and it felt SO good to soak up the sun! I am beyond ready for spring. I'm not letting the snow the other day crush my hopes either. It's just temporary!

Thursday Meeting Reminder!

If you RSVP'd to the Membership Meeting being held on Thursday, don't forget to wear your best St. Patrick's Day attire! Even though it's the day after St. Patty's day, we are still going to celebrate!

As a reminder: Drinks & Socializing is from 5-6:30pm, and the meal and meeting will start at 6:30pm.

Visit Fairhaven

Have you visited Fairhaven yet? If not, you should! This fair housing simulation is a great tool! I've talked to a number of members who went through the training, and said they learned stuff even after being in the Real Estate business for a number of years!

Professional Standards Training

We are hosting another Professional Standards training on May 25th and 27th from 1 to 4 pm each day. I would really like to encourage as many people as possible take this training. This course teaches you about the Professional Standards process so that you can serve on a grievance committee or hearing panel when members file ethics violations or arbitration requests. Right now a very small portion of our membership is trained, which means that if we get requests, we may have to send them down to Sheboygan to be processed. Please consider attending!

Ombudsman & Mediation Training

There will be an Ombudsman & Mediation training on April 21st from 1pm to 4pm, hosted by the WRA. This training will be held virtually. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by clicking the link below!

Fair Housing Month

April is Fair Housing Month! Here are some ideas to participate:
• Watch for posts on both the public and private Facebook pages
• We will do something fun at the April Membership meeting
• April is the most perfect time to complete the Fairhaven and/or Implicit Bias training!
How will you participate in Fair Housing Month?

Get Your Volunteer Hours In!

If you have volunteered between February 18th and now, please don't forget to submit your hours to me by noon tomorrow! Time sheets and more information can be found on our website! If you have pictures of yourself volunteering, please send those to me as well. Let's show this community why Realtors and Affiliates are good neighbors!!

Members who show great volunteerism throughout the year will have the opportunity to be summitted to the NAR Good Neighbor program, where they could win $10,000 for their favorite charity!

Katelyn's Corner

Hours this week: I will be in the office today until about 3:30/4pm, tomorrow from 7:30am until the meeting (may take a break in there somewhere), and Friday I will be taking a day of vacation.

What's Up In The Office

There has been so much to work on lately, which is exciting! From my own work in the office (account work, deposits, etc), I've been working actively with several committee chairs on different projects, keeping up with meeting agendas & minutes, starting to work on getting CE classes scheduled for the next biennium, and more!

This week was the MCBR Board meeting, which generated a number of tasks, as well as the membership meeting tomorrow night that I will be preparing for.

Next week I will be doing the Virtual Association Executive Institute from 10am to 2pm Monday - Wednesday. I will not be answering the phone or emails at that time.

Have a WONDERFUL rest of the week!
