April 5th, 2021
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Easter! We had some close family over for food and fun. Eli and my nephews were great fun to watch while playing the games we had set up for them! And the weather this weekend was just fantastic! We spent 12 hours outside on Saturday doing work around the Funny Farm! There is always so much work to do, as I keep getting all these ideas in my head, then just have to do them, lol.
Read on for this week's update. Nothing much new, but good information none the less!

Realtor In Government Day
Realtor & Government Day is fast approaching, and we could use a few more people to sign up to attend virtually! The event will be held from 1-3pm on April 14th. You may join from your computer at home/in the office, or you can join a few of us at the Board office who are attending together. This year's topics include: broadband expansion, workforce housing, property taxes, and landlord/tenant issues. To find out more information about Realtor & Government day, including the day's agenda, reasons why you should attend, and so much more, check out the link to the left.
**Remember to register via the attached link as well. The WRA asks all who plan to attend to register prior. There is no cost to attend this event.

April is Fair Housing Month!
Don't forget that April is Fair Housing Month! Here are some great ways to participate:
*Watch the private Facebook page for the scheduled posts that I've created for each week of the month. Take some of the info and craft posts for your own business pages. Use the hashtag #FairHousingMonth.
*Complete the NAR Fairhaven simulation, Implicit Bias training, and/or the At Home With Diversity training. (I'm going to try and do them all!)
*Log into C2EX and complete the Fair Housing learning & tasks.
Several Board members got together on the 1st and played Fair Housing Feud with other associations in the state, which was tons of fun, and checks off a Core Standard!
This week my hours will be a bit weird due to my son's spring break, and lack of a baby sitter a few of the days. This is what I am projecting my schedule to be:
Tuesday & Wednesday: Work from home
Thursday: In the office from 7:15ish-4pm
Friday: In the office from 7:30a - 2:45p (out for longer lunch)
I will still do my best to answer emails and phone calls in a timely manner!
What's Up In The Office
Oh my gosh, where to begin? Last week was quite busy here in the office. Preparing all the information/packets for the MLS and Finance Committee meetings took up a fair amount of my time at the end of the week. Those meeting will both happen on Thursday of this week. Today I'll be prepping the packet for the MCBR Board meeting, as well as processing paperwork for more new members.
Several of the committee chairs have been working hard accomplishing goals and working on projects/events, which I am glad I get to be a part of! Good things are happening!
I love seeing all these volunteer hours that are being sent to me! By the middle of last week, we already had over 50 hours volunteered collectively since February! How awesome is that?? Keep sending me those hours! If you want to volunteer, but don't know where or what you might like to do, please reach out and I will be more than happy to help you find a good fit!
