Hello everyone! I hope that you are all healthy and happy! Did you have a good weekend? We finally got our Christmas tree up this past weekend. We usually put it up on Black Friday, but just didn't get to it this year. Eli was so excited, so we let him put almost all of the ornaments on. As much as I would love to have a "picture perfect" tree, it makes me more happy to see him having so much fun! We also started a new tradition this year. Decorating our large cactus with lights & mini ornaments! It's the Christmas Cactus! Check out my personal Facebook page if you'd like to see a picture of it!
Remember if you would like to see anything on the protected side of the website, the password is available via the email form of this update or by calling the board office.

Join Us In Fairhaven!
NAR has recently launched its new fair housing training platform, Fairhaven! As stated in NAR's email: "In the fictional town of Fairhaven, agents work against the clock to sell homes while confronting realistic scenarios where discrimination can occur. In each interaction with clients and colleagues, learners make choices and receive feedback they can apply to daily business interactions. The training also puts the learner in the shoes of a client experiencing discrimination, and includes powerful testimonials demonstrating the impact of housing discrimination in real people's lives."
Any agent who complete the simulation between January 4th and January 15th will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card provided by Fair Housing Committee chair, Shelley Vogel! She took the class right away when it came out and said that even after 11 years in the business, she still learned something! Stay tuned for more information as it gets closer to January!

Realtor Ring Day Was A Success!
A sincere thank you goes out to all those who volunteered to ring bells for the Salvation Army on Realtor Ring Day! I'll be posting the pictures on the public Facebook page soon!
If anyone has any feedback from the event, I would love to hear that as well!
Keep your eyes on these Weekly Updates for other events you can volunteer for! We plan on doing several more things throughout the next year!
A Note From The President
Happy December! If you're like most people you've been busy getting ready for the season and are wondering what kind of holidays will this be in our new "norm". Well your Board has decided to host our December meeting virtually on December 17th; we also decided to let you sleep in a bit later so we are starting the meeting at 9am instead of 8:30am (plus you really don't have to get all dressed up; unless you want to). We are honoring some well deserved agents and also announcing Realtor of the Year, Affiliate of the Year and installing a new Board member and Affiliate Director; and if that wasn't enough; we are installing some new agents too. Please contact Katelyn to RSVP; yes we don't need to order meals; but we do have a fun bingo game for those that want to play (and hopefully win a prize); so we need to get an idea how many bingo cards and prizes we'll need. We're hoping to drop them off at the offices. Again, a big meeting that will be fun. So please RSVP today.
I'd like to thank those that donated to the pantries; yes we got our butts kicked by Sheboygan; but there's always next year; and even though we lost; our local pantries were winners.
Finally, we are working on tweaking the website and making it more user friendly and easier to pay dues. We're looking at being able to have you pay your dues without the board incurring the processing fee; that will save the MCBR (YOU IT'S MEMBER); money. So even though we haven't been together physically, we are working on stuff behind the scenes.
Reminder, to renew your licenses by December 14th!
Again, please join us for our December membership meeting, Ring bells, and grab that mistletoe but keep it 6 feet away.
Merry Christmas, Amy

My Hours This Week:
Monday - Friday 7:30ish-3:30ish
Have a fabulous week!!
What's Up In The Office
Every week is busy here in the office, but last week seemed especially busy! I felt like I was having a hard time keeping up! Jobs included helping members with paying (and processing more) dues, coordinating things for Realtor Ring Day, prepping and sending the first quarter invoices for MLS, paying bills/writing checks, following up with members who had overdue bills, and coordinating a meeting for the Realtor of the Year committee. On Wednesday we also had the WRA Leadership Summit (virtually of course), which provided good reminders of what the WRA can do for me as an AE, and which people to turn to with what questions.
This week it's all about financials, planning for the Board meetings, working to check off the last 2 core standards, start sending info to the accountant for the audit review, and keeping up with my other daily tasks!
