Realtor Safety Tips: Harassment & Stalking

The safety of our Realtors is something that the MCBR takes very seriously.

Stalking and harassment are unfortunately common safety concerns for Realtors. According to victimsofcrime.org, in general, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 13 men will be victims of stalking within their lifetime. I'd be willing to bet those statistics are higher for Realtors, due to the fact that you often work with random members of the public, you often work alone, and during things like open houses, your whereabouts are announced publicly.

Katelyn's Corner

On Sunday we met up with my sister and her 2 boys to have an afternoon of fun! We started off at Strand, where the boys climbed walls, then went crazy in the adventure park. After that, because the weather was so nice, we spent time at Scheutte park, and finished up the day at Cedar Crest! Cedar Crest is a favorite for our family. Ben and I own a house 2 blocks away that we used to live in, so ever since Eli was born, we have been regulars there. Big Muddy is by far one of my absolute favorites! What's your favorite flavor?!

What's Up In The Office

Last week was busy with preparing for, participating in, and doing follow up from several meetings! I was also able to put some finishing touches on a new idea I brought to the Board a few months back. I can't wait to present it to them and get their feedback, then hopefully implement it! Stay tuned for more details on that!

The first week of the month is also the week I do the bank reconciliations, start prepping the financials from the month prior, and working on putting together the Board meeting packet. Work is continuing this week on that.

Unfortunately the AEI conference that I was supposed to attend in San Diego later this week was canceled. I'm really bummed as I was looking forward to the seminars and classes. There is talk that some of the information will still be sent out or done via webinars, so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

My husband, step-son, and son were supposed to travel to CA with me, and they were going to have a little vacation. When the news came that the conference was canceled, they were very bummed. We haven't taken a vacation in 3 years, so we decided to still do something anyway. Therefore, I will still be out of the office from Thursday to Monday. I'm taking my laptop along though, so I'll still be doing things like checking the MLS, etc.
Have a superb week!!
